Two have gone, soon more will follow...You probably feel an ominous wind blowing through... For today's challenge we will be playing Santorini (this is another board game that can be found on google). Here's how the game works: The tribe that lost the previous challenge will decide the starting player. That player will place 2 of their workers on a 5x5 grid. The next player will then place their 2 workers. The starting player will then have the first turn. On a player's turn they have 2 actions they perform... -Move: Move 1 of your workers in one of the 8 neighboring spaces (adjacent or diagonal). A worker can move up 1 level of a tower, move down any number of levels, or move to a space at the same level. -Build: Add a block or dome to any unoccupied neighboring space of the worker you moved. You do not need to be at a certain height to build a level. You must always move, then build. If you are unable to, you lose.Towers will have 4 levels. When a player builds a level, they must start with level 1. If the space they want to build in already has a level 1, they add a level 2. If a level 2 is there, then they add a level 3. Once a level 4 or a 'dome' is added to a tower, that tower can no longer be built upon and no player may enter that space. Domes are used to block other players from winning. Winning the game: To win the game you must have a worker move to the third level of a tower. The team that succeeds in this will win the challenge. The other tribe will be eliminating 1 player from their tribe. This challenge will be played live tomorrow evening, and you should nominate which time you prefer so we can set a time. Each tribe will play as one player, so you don't need to have everyone online at once. Each turn within the first hour will have an outside deadline of 10 minutes, and after that 5 minutes. You CAN discuss the challenge within your tribes, except sitouts who must not discuss it in any way. You can also use any outside sources for Santorini rules and strategy.

So yeah this game will tentatively start 6PM EST tomorrow night but if the majority of you want it to be earlier or later, I'm flexible.

In terms of building, can we build diagonally or just orthagonally?

Diagonally is good.

One team has (of course) found a complicated Santorini AI. I will allow use of this AI to study strategy before the challenge, but you are prohibited from using it during the challenge

Both teams will receive google docs and challenge-only chatzys for the completion of this challenge, which I will each tribe to later. Submissions may be in the form of screenshots of the new position on your team's google doc. Take care to maintain anonymity in both mediums (by logging out of all google accounts and by using a chatzy username that matches your in-game username).
