I also don't get why tapu is seen as such a goat. Is it just that they haven't made moves? I don't feel like the mystic players' resumes are that impressive either so ??

Maybe poipole and deoxys will finally make their move next round? Surely they plan to do something at some point and not just get stomped at the end by their allies right?

IT'S ALL ABOUT PERSPECTIVE. BASED ON RESPONSES TO A QUESTION I POSED, JUST ABOUT EVERYONE IN THE GAME WANTS TO TAKE HER TO THE END. HER SOCIAL GAME IS ON POINT, BUT IM HOPING SHE DOES SOMETHING IN THE NEXT ROUND OR TWO TO DISTINGUISH HERSELF AS MORE THAN JUST A NICE PERSON. SHE'S PLAYING JUST FINE ALONG WITH MOST EVERYONE ELSE. NOT SURE WHAT OTHER REASONS TO THINK SHE WERE A GOAT ARE.

Charizard are you positive you aren't monty I'm pretty sure he was in the game but ur optimism is relentless Kind of ironic since Charizard was a previous Monty spec character lolhaha. But like, it's not a boring game?? Mystic 1.0: Jirachi vs. Deox for the boot which was fairly straightforward, but Meltan putting himself on the outs futilely trying to swing the vote to Solgaleo. Then next council was pretty lit, where you had Meltan get Arti (and deox) against Solgaleo, turning the tables against Hoopa's majority alliance which was quite interesting in how it happened. A very interesting tribe. Valor 1.0: Wasn't the most active with one tribal, and the newer players booted out Buzz, whatever. The interesting part for me was reading the trainer interactions, making this tribe interesting for me. Mystic 2.0: Meltan tries to flip the tables on his old tribe he was on the bottom with (thinking Deox viewed it similarly) blindsiding Articuno. Pretty exciting, and set the stage for the tribe vs. tribe mentality which was an interesting story. Might be the only move that works for Meltan xD Valor 2.0: Lugia implodes trying to take out Uxie. Then you had a pretty tight 2 vs. 2 of old tribes. Colb+Poi vs. Victini+Uzie. Colb used his idol to take out Victini (which was sad because Victini was great and people should appreciate him more) but also set the stage for the tribe vs. tribe mentality at the merge, and Uzie really being against Colb. Instinct: Mespirit gets wooed to vote with Hoopa and Celebi to blindside Mewtwo. Another interesting council even though again, we did lose a great player in Mewtwo. Merge tribe begins and you get Uzie with a vendetta against Colb. Meltan organizes his crew of 4 from Mystic 2.0, adds Uzie and Volcanion (both outsiders and survivors from their tribes) and gets the majority on Colb again. Hoopa, Celebi, Colb, Poipoi, and Mespirit oppose. Poipoi, Deoxys, Regi all playing both sides very well at this time, but Colb gets the majority vote but BOOM idol. Volcanion goes home being idoled out which was probably the best fate he could have hoped for lol. Meltan, Uzie, Tapu lele, Regi, Deoxys are still the official "Valor" alliance and planned to try again. Force a tie and get Mespirit (their old Valor) to swap on the revote. Hoopa organizes a blindside on Mespirit, the swing vote, by bringing in Deoxys and making sure Mespirit throws the vote away on Meltan. Mespirit would get blindsided in a pretty good move (and flushing out the idol) but medivac stops it. (Keeping Meltan and Uzie's ill fated idol in the game longer than it would have) Do to confusion of the votes, the Valor crew still doesn't realize Deoxys was never on their side and still try to target the Mystic alliance. Regi plays both sides, gets wooed by Cobalion and throws his game down the toilet by blindsiding Uzie when they learn he has the idol which was pretty shocking. Finally the lines were drawn in the sand, and Meltan quickly realizes he is now all alone. Meltan wins immunity. Regi who went on a complete power trip, realizes he got played and his game is going down the drain and likely the boot here. He has regrets and tries to patch things up but it's too late. Arrogance before the fall. Deoxys and Poipoi still claiming to play the middle and vote with them against the Hoopa alliance, but Regi might be messing that up by throwing Deoxys under the bus. Lots of interesting stuff going on lol.

Sure the interesting new players got beat. But what were people expecting lol? Experience almost always wins out in these. See every survivor season where you mix new players with old.
I remember my first game on this site was NaH advertised as a game for new players, and literally the first 6 boots were pretty much all the new players xD It's just the way things go. If they enjoyed the game, they'll still come back.

Eh mystic tribal 2 was a lot less exciting in real time. It was 20ish hours of no one doing anything and then 4 hours of "wait, what?"
And tapu i feel is viewed as a goat because they seem to be less experienced. Their social game is on point but i could easily see them being unable to ecplain their game to the satisfaction of the jury especially since every single player left has either been to ftc as a finalist or juror

I could actually see Tapu Lele beating some combination of Deoxys/Poipole/Celebi considering how many original Valors will be on the jury

Also a big issue this game (or at least this phase) is we are working with the story being told by only half the confessionals. Which is not that fun.

If this was an episode of the TV show, it'd be someone's boot episode where the only person who gets confessionals is the one being voted out

just use the pretaped footage of them saying "i don't know which way i'm gonna go, but i know i need to do what's best for my game" that i assume they make everyone say on day 1

Tbh 3 votes regi, 2 votes whoever and 3 self votes would be a funny way for this tribal to go

WITH TAPU, DEOXYS, COBA AND POIPOLE NOT HAVING VOTED YET, AND A 2-2 REG VS COBA SPLIT, ASSUMING COBA DOESN'T SELF VOTE AND VOTES REG, WE WILL BE AT 3 REG VS 2 COBA.
THIS VOTE COMES DOWN TO TAPU, DEOXYS, AND POIPOLE. REG SEEMS TO THINK TAPU WILL VOTE FOR HIM. WE MIGHT BE LOOKING AT A TIE VOTE FOLKS.

Am I alone in thinking it’s idiotic for Deoxys to continue pretending he hasn’t been working against Meltan since merge

Deoxys's tactic is very perplexing. He basically confirmed lost Meltan's jury vote acting like this I suspect.

I mean I think the bigger mistake was killing arti and allying with them in the first place Very biased here but I agree. Melt an had some incredible reads that I was tied to Coballion, I think he was actually the only one to figure out that connection, but also I think that would’ve been an asset to him in the merge, especially given Coballion’s position at the merge. My plan Lane for the merge was to have OG Mystic stick together for the merge boot to take out somebody like Mesprit, Volcanion, or Uxie. Maybe one more round like that before trying to flip the script and blindside Hoopa or Celebi. I think my fatal mistake was being straight up with Melton that I wanted to wait a round or two before targeting Hoopa just because I think that made Melton believe I wouldn’t ride with him against them which was just untrue

As somebody who was on a tribe with her, I see it only because she didn’t talk to me for like a day at a time on multiple occasions. I was labeled inactive, but I’d at least respond 2-3 times per day minimum

Well it seems Deox will vote Coba, but if Poi doesn't flip then it'll be a 4-4 tie. Will be interesting to see the fallout, especially if Meltan doesn't win immunity next challenge.

4) Who are you allies? Who are your enemies? Is the line between then truly cut and dry? - Allies (at this moment) are literally everyone in the game. I am reasonably sure that this will be the third straight contested vote (four if you count the vote that was happening when Mesprit was medivaced) where going into the vote every single person is quite sure I am voting with them. Probably preaching to the choir here, but I'm thinking Deoxys long term vision is a little lacking. Regi/Tapu/Meltan really dislike him after his first backstab, and after this vote, Hoopa/Celebi will dislike him. This playstyle necessarily creates enemies which like... isn't good.

Regi could very easily recover after all. wow Like, he warned people that Deoxys was slimey. Now after this, Deoxys will confirm it, and in hindsight, Regi will look honest from Hoopa and Celebi's point of view. Meltan still is on board the Regi hype train. Tapu Lele seems to have stopped caring for Regi but seems resigned to follow him.
I was rough on Regi this round, but Regi gameplay at playing the middle >>>>> Deoxys imo.
Question is, will people bring Deox in as a goat, or will everyone hate him too much and just vote him out next? Everyone seems pretty set on Tapu Lele being a goat (and probably a likable one at that) and I think most players are strong enough they won't want to risk 2 "goats" going near end game.
And now there's still Poipoi who's a complete mystery. Do people like her? It seems so. Uxie was the main contact in old Valor alliance team, so she seems more loyal to Hoopa side now.
