Poibro and cobro are both awesome. Frankly, they're too awesome for my tastes. I have no confidence either of them actually care about me because the're so good at being friendly so quickly. Maybe they're doing what your warned me not to do (and I'm probably doing anyways) and it's coming off as fake?
I am having a similar issue to my previous tribe, where I don't know who exactly is close to whom. I think Uxie loves Victini, and vice versa, so I'm hoping I can tag along with that and stay tight with them. If we never have to go to tribal here, we could have a seriously tight group of 5 because we're all so active and friendly with each other.
I don't know exactly how close Poi and Cob are to each other. When I asked about their previous tribe they both talked about all the chaos but I haven't explicitly asked them how they feel about each other because I don't want to be too pushy.

When you compare notes between Poi and Cob do they match up or are you getting conflicting stories?
Regarding info: One thing you might want to try is offering information unsolicited, then asking something open-ended afterwards. Information is valuable, and if you're willing to share then the other person is more likely to reciprocate. It's also a good test for how someone feels about you; if you're sharing things and they don't offer anything in return, it's very likely that person doesn't trust you. Of course, the more you share a particular tidbit the less valuable it is, so you'll want to take care with what and how much you're sharing.

By the way, there's a suspicious typo in the challenge 4 text:

Man, the game is moving right along. Rip M2.
How goes it figuring out where loyalties lie here? Feeling any more confident about your place on the tribe?

Yea I'm feeling safe. Ideally we just dodge tribal here because I don't want a serious conflict here and I feel like any tribal that occurred here would make me an enemy. I'd probably end up voting out cobro with Victini and Uxie and I expect Poibro would be annoyed by it.
I would vote this way because I think Victini and Uxie would be more pissed at me for voting off the other than Poibro will be pissed at me for voting off cobro.

So it's fair to say you see Victini-Uxie as a pair, and Cobalion-Poipole as a pair, with you swinging in the middle?

That's def what it feels like right now. I'm *hoping* victini or Poipole view me as their partner, but I'm not certain of that fact. I think at the very least they're more worried about the other pair than they are about me.

Has anyone brought up forming a trio for safety?

No, but poibro and cobro have both mentioned they've had issues chatting with uxie due to timezones, so seems like they're leaning that way.
I've been trying to take the head on trio forming, but I really don't have a preference with whom.

Ah fuck.
Victini is not an ally, and Victini is super close to Uxie.
If I were in Poipole/Cobalion's shoes, I'd almost certainly choose to target me here as there's only one of me to gain as an ally and there are two of them. I need to convince each of them I'm more valuable to them because I need them more than Uxie/Victini, and because I'll be around more and better able to enact their plans.

Why do you say Victini is not an ally?

Was trying to talk to Victini about this tribal and I got nothing but noncommittal garbage about how "there's a ton on his mind" and he "loves everyone". Then Cobalion says Victini was pushing me.
This morning Poipole said the same thing, so...
Guess we're pushing hard for Poipole/Cobalion/Lugia.

Ok well yeah I agree that's a pretty good indicator!
Cobalion giving you a heads up is a great sign. You'll probably need to go full charm mode on Poipole.
Don't give up!

Oh we're not giving up yet. 100% trying to get Poipole on my side. Charm is not the only tactic I'm using!
I'm also talking to Uxie and Victini about it. I'm hoping I can convince them I'm more likely to ally with them than either Cobalion or Poipole.

Yup!
Maybe should have asked about that first... You think it was a good idea?

It depends on the other person and how it's handled, really. I can point to a couple cases that happened with me last game as examples. Thankfully you were there for these so you know the background.
* I approached Makoto (based on Akane's tip), we had a huge cathartic moment, and swiftly became friends. Had he survived that round, we'd have been strong allies moving forward. * I approached Korekiyo (based on Makoto's info), gave Korekiyo multiple chances, received multiple lies, and pushed that vote.
In general terms, I do think it's a good idea to clear the air. If you approach someone saying, hey, I know you're targeting me here, can we talk about this? you may end up with a good result. It's kinda like I said before, you're sharing unsolicited info this way, and people tend to reciprocate that.

! Good comparison.
I think it's working out. I hope Victini told it to Cobalion and expected Cobalion to keep it a secret. Now that he knows Cobalion is willing to rat him out, he's probably less sure about trusting Cobalion.
I hope Poipole only heard about Victini voting me from Cobalion.
Working on verifying this hope now.

One thing you may want to point out here, and you can probably make this argument to either pair, is that a tribe swap is very unlikely after this round. If you're voted out here, they're going to be sitting 2-2 and someone is going to lose a very close ally, either through betrayal or rocks. Why not avoid all that unpleasantness now by bringing you on board, forming a trio, making this and possible future tribal easy? Guaranteeing your safety, and that of your best buddy, sure seems like a good idea.

Yea. Currently things seem to be going well.
Victini seems to be freaking out about the leak in his plan and is trying to push Cobalion (who I assume leaked it). Uxie confirmed Victini both pushed me earlier, and has no pushed Cobalion to him just now. He says Victini never seemed "too interested" in pushing me, but that's more than enough for me.
I just need to keep Uxie and Victini focused on Cobalion and Cobalion and Poipole on Victini.
It's really nice doing this while the truth actually seems to be on my side for once xD

Did you agree to vote Cobalion with Victini? Does Cobalion seem unhappy with you?
Don't forget, these people are all online right now, and are all messaging each other as well.
