Let's all give a massive shout out to Deoxys for being unable to count to 10

I understand 0 of the episode titles in players' confessionals I know for me personally I choose my episode titles because they make me feel clever and if other people don't get it then that kind of makes it even better tbh

So after going through everyones confessionals I have some thoughts on the tribes. These are all pre challenge results obvi so once we see which tribe is heading to TC things will get shaken up.
On Valor, I'm really digging all the intense characters we have. I hope a rivalry blooms between Mesprit and Regigigas the two seem to not be fans of each other. I would probably put Tapu Lele as my top contender for Valor right now. Seems overall well liked by everyone and might be in an alliance of Tapu/Vol/Mesprit (despite only Mes mentioning it? Did I miss something perhaps? Vol mentioned Tapu also asked him for an alliance but i wasnt sure if its the same thing.) I think Mesprit is going to overplay their hand at some point, not sure when. Vol is an interesting player who can probably go far if they play nice and under the radar. Could see Mes/Tapu/Vol/Uxie being the alliance to beat on Valor and Vicitni will probably go along with them as their 5th. I hope Regi can sway a few people though. I could see him winning over Lugia at least.
Mystic is more like the Gimmystic tribe between the poems, paint and role play. Less interesting by a lot. Solgaeo impressed me the most with his intro post, then went and formed an alliance because of an 80s movie. Allying with Hoopa is probably not bad, but the reasoning makes me question how he'll play long term. Colablion may have a negative rap from some on the tribe but I enjoy him! Could see him being someone to watch out for. Meltan is super adorable, and I will enjoy every minute we have with him, which will probably not be very long. And as cute as Jirachi's poems are, i wish he'd write cliff note confessionals better explaining it to me. Poipole seems pretty well liked but is still the biggest mystery on the tribe in terms of where he stands.
As always there are two players on the outs on both tribes. Funny how that like always works out that way.

His fault for choosing Deoxys and not one of the cool Deoxys transformations.

Is there a wager at all on if Meltan will give up on the comic joke before he gets eliminated?

I think he'll slow down a bit but I don't see him stopping
I checked blue confessionals and I guess I made the right choice to watch red mostly cause blue doesn't seem to be very interesting yet

Another note about Sol is that he really wants me to check out animes he recommends and I do not like anime at all. Send help. I might just have to wikipedia some of them or something, or bite the bullet and watch a couple episodes of one. me in Survivor games

Mesprit's passive aggressiveness towards Tapu Lele is cracking me up in the challenge thread.

Depends on the person and your conversation with them, I'd say. By the time you're going to your first TC, you'll probably want to be able to say something along the lines of "Hey, what are your thoughts on the vote?" to most people. And as you get further along in the game, talking about the game with people becomes more and more important. A big skill that has to be learnt in Survivor is getting a read on what other people want. If Ash Ketchum sends you messages about sportsball and the weather all the time and doesn't bring up the game that much, he probably doesn't mind if you two don't talk about the game in the first round or two. On the other hand, if Gary Oak keeps telling you that Brock talks to him a lot and Misty hasn't PMed him in two days, he probably cares more about chatting about the game early on. Basically, you'll talk about the game with almost everyone eventually, because everyone's here to play. But it's no biggie if it takes a while with a couple of people. I think this is the first bad advice I've seen a trainer give?

It's not bad per se, especially with everybody else on the tribe also being new/relatively new to Survivor.

Even with Mystic going to TC I still find the dynamics of Valor more interesting right now with the first alliances taking official form. Tapu/Vol might be the power players on that being able to swing where they want too between Regi/Vic + Lugia (if Regi notices Lugia is into him) and Mes/Uxie.
Buzz and Mewtwo are disappointing though not posting much.
Also I don't really see much things wrong with that advice per say. Only thing I would have mentioned is if you're in round 3 and Ash Ketchum is still talking to you about sports and avoiding game talk, thems red flags. But easing into game talk isn't bad, you rush it and you get labled a game bot. No one enjoys dealing with game bots day 1, puts an easy target on your for like the second or third trip to TC.

valor being more interesting than mystic was kinda expected. after all, they have a entire set of trainers helping them along with the pokemon themselves. also, mystic was experienced enough for some of them to do posting gimmicks, which are fun for the first few days, but can become a drag afterwards.

I think the only things that could save Jirachi now are either:
1) Hoopa hears Meltan threw his name out and overreacts pushing a Meltan vote or something. I think its unlikely since Hoopa will probably be getting on later, and the closer to the deadline the harder for big moves to take place, its usually just "anyone but me!"
2) Cobalion might have the pull to persuade Art to drop Deo for Jirachi. Cobalion is the power player on Mystic right now for sure. But there is really no reason why he'd waste that capital for Jirachi who he only has one spot above Deo in his trust lists.
RIP Jirachi. Make sure to write him an epitaph.

I wouldn't say its set in stone. Deo seems to have gotten some favor with a few people, but could still go. I don't see anyone else going even if there is some drama.

Question for the trainers to keep them engaged: How likely is it the person you're mentoring will surpass you THIS game. I'm only asking this to Shadoweh really though lol

Jirachi's poems are quite impressive. I haven't been following that tribe, but I assume he's just not connecting well with that posting gimmick? Still a pretty good read through his confessional before he gets the boot. Depends on the person and your conversation with them, I'd say. By the time you're going to your first TC, you'll probably want to be able to say something along the lines of "Hey, what are your thoughts on the vote?" to most people. And as you get further along in the game, talking about the game with people becomes more and more important. Basically, you'll talk about the game with almost everyone eventually, because everyone's here to play. But it's no biggie if it takes a while with a couple of people. I think this is the first bad advice I've seen a trainer give? I don't think this is bad advice. However, if someone is only talking non-game with you, and you find out they're talking game with other people, that's a huge red flag. I generally do more social talk with the people I'm not allied with because I need to talk about something other than game with them lol.
