I'm sorry sire!
I got so caught up with the challenge I forgot to send messages!
but I'm excited to teach you some Yugioh!
players start with 8000 health, your objective is to reduce your opponent's health to zero!
you do this using cards
you'll start with 5 and draw 1 every turn
There are 3 card types in yugioh
the main one is the monster card type
you can normal summon one of these onto the field every turn
if it's level 5 or less you can just play it
otherwise you have to sacrifice a monster that's already on the field to normal summon it
the card effects are all different and you need to read the card to see what they do!
this one lets you draw a card once a turn when its on the field
some have effects that let you special summon other monsters (that doesn't count as your normal summon for the turn!)
when you normal summon a monster you can play it in attack position (face up) or defense position (face down sideways)
if you play the card face down you can only use its effect once it's flipped (when it's attacked or you can flip it yourself on your next turn)
attack position monsters can attack an enemy monster once a turn
if it attacks an attack position monster, the monster with the lower attack value dies and is taken off the field (both if it ties)
the difference in attack is dealt in damage to the player who's monster lost
if it attacks a monster in defense position, it flips it face up if it's face down, and then if your monster's attack is higher than their defense their monster is destroyed
otherwise nothing happens
nobody takes damage during that fight no matter how it ends
you can also directly attack your opponent with the monster if they don't have any monsters on the field
if you do that they take damage equal to your monster's attack
defence position monsters can't do much except defend, but you can change them to attack position the turn after you play them if you want
Spell cards can usually only be played on your turn (unless they have a blitz symbol under type)
when you play them the effect will happen unless your opponent counters with a blitz spell or a trap card
you can play them from your hand or set them on the field to play later
there's no big advantage to setting them on the field, it's usually just to make your opponent think that it's a...
trap cards need to be set on the field during your turn
they can be then played during your opponent's turn usually in response to something your opponent does
this one can be used to destroy a monster when your opponent attacks with it
That's everything!
it can be a very fun game
but its getting more and more complicated now and its hard for me to get my head around the new stuff
