==========Lugia - Weakest link on the tribe. People are nice to him in case we swap. Allied with Lugia, maybe tapu. Booting him helps free up volcanus for mewtwo and I. Mespirit - Friendly guy. Allies are Tapu/Uxie/Mewtwo. Mewtwo - #1 ally. We tell each other everything. Tapu - Close with Volc/Mespirit/Uxie. Not sure about lugia. I will swapscrew this person given the opportunity. Uxie - Allied. Close with Mespirit/Tapu. NOT close with Victini. Victini - Primary scheming buddy. Doesn't seem to be close with a lot of people other then me. Volcanus - Backup alliance who seems to struggle socially with everyone but me. These pros are super easy to get along with. I dressed myself up in a frilly dress and cat ears to try to appeal to them. What I mean by that is I am saying g wow you guys are so big and fun x). I also am describing tapu as "very social" and "having the most friends" with intent to throw her under the bus. I did this successfully before with ibuki in kss which made more people happy to make her the merge boot. However this time I'm happy to boot tapu first on this tribe. Espeacially if we win this first challenge. Especially if the next challenge is a double TC into 6v6 or merge. Or maybe 3v3v3v3 that's not bastard at all. X)
Letting tapu make it to merge will mean she will be damn hard to kill. She probably get backstabbed before winning, but her friend circle is big enough that I'm going to be on her hit list before she gets stabbed. Uxie is my winner pick at this stage of the game.
I also want to screw her to definitavely prevent a paging since a pagong makes me come in 5th and also kills mewtwo and victini.

Meltan just dropped a spicy PM on me stating that he was the bottom of mystic and would have been the next vote. Wow I was expecting this guy to be on the top. This changes everything.
He wants to keep me and tapu safe. He wants valor to stick together. Okay first of all keeping tapu safe fucks me over. Second of all valor sticking together also means I lose if tapu is in the game.
I cant just say to meltan that I want to vote out tapu because our interests are very obviously polar opposite but he doesn't know that yet. Ideally I vote out tapu if it comes to a vote, but how on earth do I do it without stabbing meltan loud and clear.
This is a situation indeed...

Ahaha I hope you don't mind me breaking my own rule and responding way too early  Long story short, I was very much on the bottom of old Mystic and this swap probably saved me Long story long... Jirachi and I formed a 'Gimmick Alliance' since we were the only two people on the tribe with post gimmicks (art & poetry) - Cobalion dropped his whole 'I'm the king' pretty much immediately when he started PMing people When Jirachi got targeted at the first tribal, I tried to swing it onto Solgaleo and for a while it was me & Jirachi vs Sol, Hoopa and Celebi with everyone else sort of waiting until someone else in the middle made the first move I don't know who it was who made the first move, but at some point everyone turned on us and decided to vote for him - pretty much everyone told me that I was more likable than Jirachi and that if I ditched him I probably wouldn't be the vote in the next round, whereas if I kept defending him I'd put a target on my back So I switched my vote to Jirachi, told him I was doing it and we went idol hunting for the last 2 hours of the round as a desperation move (to no avail, as the result shows ) Anyway that's what caused this massive standoff in the next round I had made myself a target in the previous round by being the only one opposing the Jirachi vote and pushing for someone else to go but everyone knew that I wasn't *that* unlikable so a lot of them were worried about whether starting to push my name might backfire and I didn't want to give anyone an excuse to push for me so I was trying to be as passive as possible which resulted in that 16 hour stalemate then Sol tried to pull something really dumb (controlling who both the candidates would be by telling everyone that he was hearing that the vote was between me and Arti), which got enough people annoyed at him that we managed to vote him out it ended up being a unanimous vote but it wasn't easy to do, Hoopa and Poi were defending him nearly to the end and Celebi only flipped earlier because he wanted to keep Arti's trust (all of them were arguing that I should be the vote) Anyway, after that, we never got to see the third TC but it was pretty clear I was again the only person with a target on my back if we had gone into one there was nobody left who would pull something like Sol did, and the people who had defended Sol the previous round (Hoopa, Poi, to a lesser extent Celebi) were all really well connected and well liked by the entire rest of the tribe - plus Hoopa had outright told people he wanted to vote me out if we went back I tried to approach people (mainly Coba) about forming a safety alliance or finding an alternate target or something, but everything I tried to do got shot down by 'if you do this you'll just put a bigger target on your back' I've been praying for a swap for a while now, this was a godsend for me I don't want to be too forward, since I know you don't know me that well yet, but it's probably obvious from everything that happened anyway, so... I don't really know how united Valor is, but if you're planning to stay together, I'd really like to jump on board if you guys would have me I'd still like to win challenges here, best case would be to avoid tribal at all - but if worst comes to worst, I'd be happy to make sure it's not you or Tapu going home! The good news is that I've got options. The bad news is that I've got options. Option 1: Backstab Meltan. Bad option because tapu would excommunicate me. Option 2: Backstab tapu. Slightly better option but still bad because meltan would have the biggest broken heart, plus I don't really like articuno and deoxys that much. They talk to me like they're going to vote me out. Option 3: Blindside Deoxys. Good plan. Why deoxys over articuno? Because articuno was getting close to the chopping block of mystic 1.0 anyways, so they would not be thrilled to see him back. Blindsiding deoxys here makes for a good plan because it removes a stable, sane person from the game, and increases conflict that I'm not directly involved in. AKA my favourite thing to do in survivor. Option 4: Blindside Articuno. OK plan but probably not good. It removes someone I don't really like from the game. But regardless of if I like articuno much, I think deoxys would be way closer with his mystic pals then me. Worst best case scenario: We lose challenge 1. Deoxys goes out. We lose challenge 2. Meltan and I are 100% safe. I still have options. I can spill the beans about how tapu probably does NOT value meltan that much considering all the friend she has back home and get her ass smashed, or I can vote out articuno because he's probably not that valuable to me anyways. Also it's symbolic to vote out the mascot. |

If Celebi or Hoopa were booted, it would make my day. Mespirit or mewtwo would be absolutely crushing. Volc would just be funny.
I got lucky with the swap. I got a primary scheming buddy on each tribe. Mewtwo my #1 on instinct, Victini my other #1 on valor. Hope they remain loyal-ish.

Hi, I'm reggie. Welcome back to my vlog series. As you've probably noticed already, I'm a bit of a collector. My latest collection is #1 allies. Today I got a really nice find, I added meltan to my collection. That brings me up to 3, which is about 2 to 3 more then most people have. *shows off shelf containing Victini, Mewtwo, and Meltan* <3
I'd post MeltanLove if it wouldn't waste your data TC1 started out with Deoxys' name being thrown around as the alternative to Jirachi, but he seemed like someone who didn't want to vote Jir so we swung the target onto Sol instead to try to get him on board - which worked to an extent but when everyone else went the other way he followed them. I do like Deo, so on the assumption we don't go to two Tribals (which seems like it'll be the case ) I'd prefer to bring him on board if that's possible but I haven't talked to him about trying to join up with valor or voting Arti at a potential TC yet, and I don't really want to unless you, me and Tapu are all in agreement that we should - I'm not 100% sure how he'd feel about it Arti was never at the bottom of Mystic, afaik they had their own clique with Coba and Celebi Solgaleo was the only person who ever brought up their name (he brought it up in both tribals but in the first one it got shot down immediately and in the second one it lead to him being voted out) I also have no doubt that Arti would have voted against me at the next tribal - they were going with the flow for the most part - so I would not have a problem voting for them if we do end up at a TC Secret signature signed - nothing you say will leave this chat.
Arti would also be my preferred vote if we do go to TC just based on the tiny tiny conversations we have had so far. Ahh this is going to be a little bit hard. About that valor mini-pagong thing. Tapu is going to give you a big green light YES. Tapu is the #1 of Valor. Something about tapu makes every single person on that tribe except for me and mewtwo (and buzz RIP) say "I feel close to tapu". How the hell is it even possible for every single person to think that and not get spooked af. Now, it's fine for someone to be at the top. People at the top usually get backstabbed before they win. But I feel like myself, and I think you as well, are in that sweet spot where if we go along with her agenda a little bit too long, we're going to get cut without warning. The power structure of Valor is a bit more simple then whatever higher dimensional vector space you saw in mystic. Tapu is at the top. Her inner circle is Mespirit and Uxie. Then you've got Reggie, Victini, and Mewtwo. Lugia and Volcanion are on the bottom rung because they're a bit socially lacking, but they do have some connections. Now obviously I'm oversimplifying things here, and there's plenty of lines crossing each of those borders, but the thing is that while tapu has this inner circle, she also has the most control over Volc and Lugia just because she's so damn easy to talk to and they have trouble talking to mostly anybody else. So I really was in a bit of a 5-3 minority there, and I'm a little bit glad I got swapped, even though it probably would have been a lugia boot next. My ideal fantasy world was to end up in a 7v7 4-3 tribe maybe with some of my allies, and we could team up with mystic and assassinate Tapu before she became unkillable until F5. Now, you're in a worse situation then I am, so I wouldn't think to ask to vote out tapu here and now. I'm down to go for articuno if it comes to it and befriend deoxys and bring him in, that seems to legitimately be in both of our best interests. Seems like the biggest problem right now for us is those big threats on mystic that are lurking out there. But if those guys start going out one by one from a valor majority, we are going to have to secretly assemble an army and usurp tapu before she comes after us. You're never as close to her as you think you are. Maybe I'm just thinking a little too long term and freaking out over nothing. But even if we just met, I want to work long term with you and hopefully I've shown it. Straightforwardness is a value I really appreciate, and I think our positions in the game naturally should be working together. I never did find that "Number one" on valor that I could just share all my thoughts with without any fear. |

Damn, that last paragraph in that message makes me all tingly.
In a 5 person tribe, it is a bit more accepted to talk boot order than in a larger one. I think as long as you have Meltan #1 ally as the narrative, that's good. The question is about where is Tapu with the Deo/Arti connection; especially if Deo/Arti are sticking together.
It's very nice that Meltan's story matches up with all the other stories so far about old Valor. It's easy to then corroborate everything. I hope Meltan has begun to move toward taking in Tapu and is also faking a relationship with Deo/Arti too.

Meltan's response, for context. Mewtwo and meltan are two people I shit-talked a little bit in my confessional and did a comlplete 180 on instantly. Works for me. Ooooo boy this is going to be a fun game So, Tapu does come off as a strong social player, that's for sure - and I could see how they could have Valor wrapped around their finger given the game format my worry though is that Team Mystic has at least 3 players capable of doing that too (Hoopa, Celebi, Poipole) Mystic is full of threats, as you say - I think the only way they can possibly be dealt with is by having some sort of tribe mentality against them, and if Tapu is the player that ties most of Valor together, then maybe Tapu is a necessary evil for now ...but yes, I agree completely that letting that kind of person near to the end with this many new players in the game would be a huge mistake, unless we want a One World re-enactment. when we should take the shot depends very much on how many people we could get onside for it if it's just you, me, Deo (hopefully) and Mewtwo then it will have to be early - but I think it should still be possible, especially if we could create some kind of idol panic to make a split vote happen at some point split votes are a sniper's dream Thanks for being so open with me here - even though it's only been what, 20 posts, I already feel a lot better about you as a friend & ally than I did about almost all of the Mystic players I'm exactly the same way with straightforwardness, which is why I didn't really fit in over there; straightforwardness does not seem to be a big part of the MS metagame, even with your allies but hey, maybe this game is the moment that'll change! one quite important thing though given that situation, I wasn't planning to bring this up until a bit later, but given the circumstances you were in it's probably quite important I believe someone on Valor has a hidden immunity idol I think you can still see your old tribe forum? if so, was there anyone who during TC3 made 2 consecutive posts, about an hour apart (probably while most people were asleep), which have since been edited? ^ we investigated that idol scare thing he brought up and found nothing. By the way, everything meltan said in that message is basically my game plan. Pit the big threats of valor against the big threats of mystic, have valor pagong the mystic threats first, then double back and assassinate tapu using an army of me/meltan/deoxys/mewtwo/victini(?), and then keep playing from there. Start cutting people like uxie/lugia/volc, then that leaves me with enough big threats left to make it to the end. Of course plans this grand never actually work, but we will see what happens. Here's the relationship map of mystic 2. Tapu - Reggie - Meltan, we are going to blindside articuno if it comes down to it. Articuno is a big scary guy who has a clique with celebi/cobalion, who doesn't talk to me very well. smh! you're supposed to be a pro. Meltan likes Deoxys. I like deoxys. When the time is right, (probably after a snipe on articuno? but we might not even to go to TC.), Meltan and I would bring in deoxys as an ally. Tapu is probably just loved by everyone tbh. Enjoy it while it lasts. |
