You have been assigned an experienced player, Sabrina (Shadoweh), to answer your questions and put you on the right track in this game. As a reminder of the rules, you don't have to maintain anonymity with each other, but you can't reveal your trainer's ID to any other player in the game (or anyone bar the mods outside of it).
Your trainer doesn't have to confine his/her posting to this thread but this thread may be convenient.

So you wanna play Survivor Pokémon! Do you have the skills to be Number one!?
We're gonna make the ultimate moves Find the courage to be bold You'll risk it all but don't forget The lessons that I told You're gonna search where no one's been Far beyond the crowd! Learn the way to take command Use the idols that fill our hands Oh hey!
We all live in a Survivor world I wanna be the greatest Trainer of them all! We all live in a Survivor world Put ourselves to the test To play better than all the rest!Hey kid, welcome to Survivor! You've been graced with the wonders of my magnificent presence, Sabrina the Teenaged Witch. No need to thank me, I know you're already aflush with wonder and bursting with happiness. I'm here to tell you my extremely biased opinions on how to do well at Survivor, or at least survive long enough to get voted out for your own hilarious mistakes. These rules are a bit stiff in that I'm obviously not supposed to write posts for you, but it also seems like if you post a log and the guy is clearly about to murder your face I'm not supposed to say that explicitly, so I'm gonna try and cover some basic 'this dude about to stab you' thoughts too. Uhm if you like, need help with forum features like the PM button or w/e lemme know, I'm gonna assume you know how for now. Step 1: Idol Hunting! This is something you should do like RIGHT NOW. Items and advantages sometimes get posted at the beginning of the game, somewhere on the forum. My patented tech is to go to the rules posts, moderator contact posts, any post a moderator has made, the main page of the forum, the MS thread, and just use tab to cycle through for links that look like they don't belong, like imgur links or links to other forums. Sometimes the mods get tricky and do untabbable stuff like underlining or italicizing specific letters to spell out something, they like to hide links in pictures too. It usually leads to something you're supposed to post in your confessional to get a Hidden Immunity Idol (tm) Other people will be looking so it's important to hit the ground running if you want one. I recommend it to anyone. For later in the game new items might get posted around a swap or merge, but I always check pictures in challenges for hidden links just as a habit. This game is Vanilla so there might only be one Idol, or none at all. Never hurts to give old posts a lookieloo anyways imo to see if anything changed!

Step 2: PMing the rest of your tribe, I guess. So you gotta reach out to that tribe of yours. The first 24 hours are really important for forming bonds and figuring out the social hierarchy of a tribe so you want to be as active as possible, the PM's should be coming in and going out like a stream. By the end of the first day you should be having conversations about how much you like/wanna game with/will vote along side someone, multiple someones hopefully. Obviously you don't start out that way, so you might be wondering how DO I make a good opening PM to people? I like to make joke names like as Pikachu talking to Mario I called our pm chain Nintendo Mascots. As for what to jam in there, dude just put whatever, ask people why they picked their pokemon, ask them what they're excited about, tell them what you're looking forward to most and just let the conversation go from there! The most important things are like. Try to answer questions in ways that the conversation can continue, don't stonewall people with a 'hello how are you' 'good'. Three sentences is a good lowest bar in my opinion. Right now you just want to endear yourself. If they talk about something interesting in public, ask them along those lines. Here's some First PMs that I've received for some reference material. "Hi! I'm Himiko Yumeno, the best magician in the whole wide world Any first impressions of the other players so far that you care to share?" "I think we're the first two online in our team, so I need to learn about your personality. There's a homemade taco in front of you. It's got meat and a shell. What do you put on it? " title: You remind me of a four letter word... "..It starts with an H...hm, can't put my finger on it...Might be ''Here''. How are you today? Awfully big tribe we got here..Compared to what we had."

Step 3: Talking about something more productive then Hello, I guess?!Okay so like you PM some people and you're prob thinking, when do I stop talking about Pokemon and cannibalism and start talking about this dumb Survivor game? This one's hard cause like there's no golden rule, I'd say 6-7 PMs in you can tell if you like whoever you're talking to or not. If you have a good vibe, just tell them that, be like "hey dude I'm really gelling with you, do you want to work together in this tribe here? I'm not really sure how this works but I like you and I hope you like me", etc etc. Tribes tend to have predictable tropes so here's the dudes you should be looking out for. - The Tryhard Social Guy. There's always one guy that sends huge walls and everyone seems to really like because he's special!!!11one. He'll basically make the decisions for the tribe, which as long as it's not you, is great! If you try to get this guy lynched you'll probably lose instantly. - The Cronies. Tryhard dude will have 2-3 people that he really likes and kind of bonds with. Usually the other people who are almost as social as him, and they'll have their own special friends outside of him. - The Middlemen. Everyone is a little like this, a bunch of people won't want to make decisions and just 'go with the flow' or whatever 'the tribe' ie Mr. Tryhard wants to do. The biggest difference between a Middleman and a Crony is Cronies will try to organize a little while Middlemen are allergic to anything resembling responsibility. Sheep is another good word? The reason people don't like responsibility is you can get targetted for putting someone's name out there, and people find that scary, so they opt to leave it to people who at least won't target them personally. But you never know when you'll become the next Target because there's no one else left. - The Targets. There's always a dude, sometimes two, who just like does Not Fit In and it would take surgery to make him survive in the tribe. He's the Scapegoat, people will actively be talking at some point about how wow, have you noticed X is quiet and hard to talk to? (Quiet and Hard To Talk To are synonyms for The Next Vote btw). If no one is talking about a Target with you then it's probably You, so don't end up in that spot! However you decide you wanna play it, as long as you're active and not changing your mind or making people uncomfortable by disregarding their thoughts, you'll probably live through the first TC and you'll have a better idea of what it's actually like to play. Phew okay that was a lot, uhm if you have questions go for it!

Hi Shadoweh ^.^
So the plan is for me to pretend to be a gay boy from Brunei who signed up from reddit. The reason is I find my fake person is more interesting than myself so I can produce more interesting story to talk as the "The Tryhard Social Guy". I have to go somewhere later but thank you for being my coach ^.^
One more question. At what point of stage does you start offering alliance? I haven't receive any alliance offer in previous game so clearly I am missing something.

Are you Eagle or something? I get the feeling knowing your ID will be beneficial in if I think this is a good idea or not. It's probably a terrible idea either way but as long as you aren't like.. offensively gay? You're a newbie it's not like people are going to know who you are in the first place but sure if it helps you roleplay, just make sure you're talking to people more then you're telling them about your life in Brunei, they'll get annoyed if you do that instead of playing the game.
Seriously, talk to people a bit, after about 6-7 PMs if you're getting a good vibe with someone, tell them you like them, ask who else they like and if they want to make an Alliance, be proactive about it if the other people aren't offering you by then.

I am Realeo. I genuinely think I am a boring person in real life because in previous game, I don't know what to talk about. Brunei is culturally close to Indonesia so I figured out it's a safe stunt

But you're not a newbie! What the heck are you doing here LOL! Well uh, I wrote some extensive stuff to help you get a leg up, I get why you'd feel awkward in convos since you don't really.. talk to people good... honestly in The Genius talking to you wasn't that hard, what was so different about that game compared to Jimmy Cha? Where tbh I didn't have problems talking to you there. I don't think you as a person are cut out to be Tryhard Social Guy, you come off too crazy to be the guy everyone turns to. On the plus side if you can be endearing you can play as a quirky guy, you just have to uhm, make people feel like they can trust you. Don't be too crazy when you propose stuff? I'd just try to play it chill if I were you.

The Genius is easy because I don't have to talk about myself, I just have to talk about the game. That's why an analytical Doohee is doing really well in The Genius. In the Survivor, you can't really talk about the game in the beginning because the game hasn't begun yet, thus you are left with a socially awkward Jimmy Cha.
In addition to that, The Genius is using the room system, so I get to see how other player social play and I have a good standard to beat. In Survivor, communication are done through private message, so I have no idea what is the good standard to achieve

Don't worry about not finding anything yet. As long as you keep an eye out! It's also possible something will drop after the 24 hour timer is over, or that nothing will at all hehe. It's good that you formed a coalition! Who else do you like in the game? I hope you're sending out big phat PMs and you've sent at least 10 by now. That's about my standard I think. If I remember correctly you have a timezone disadvantage so it's important you get people when they're around, or at least send them longer PMs when you are here. Sometimes I've talked about myself but it's much easier to talk about what the other person likes in a Survivor game, people are naturally inclined to talk about themselves like they're the center of the world. You should know at least two-three things the person you're talking to likes. I mean I've seriously talked about movies, animes I've never seen, cannibalism and ending the human race, people will talk about anything as long as they get to sound smart doing it. Some people hate talking about anything but the game so if you find someone like that they're probably your solemate. It's okay to be a gamebot and focus on gametalk as long as you get your foot in the door. Just never stop giving the impression you also care about the other person as a person. That talking game with THEM is special. Besides you're good at coming off funny quirky as long as your jokes don't go inappropriate places. I think you're better at being likeable then you think, your big problem imo is making sure your allies understand what you're doing and specifically, that they can trust you. that's why my best advice to you is to chill out a little and be a solid ally. Schemes are super fun if you have backup to make them work, so work on having the backup of your tribe. For examples of how other players are socializing, the public threads do give you a glimpse. No one does serious talk there obviously. You can still tell what a person is like. When you meet people in later swaps you can use whatever they've posted in public as a jump start.

So here's the current status:
- Tapu Lele : We're on second page in our DM conversation right now. He claimed that he is from Australia so I am doing my best to invest my social play right now. Currently I am confessing that I had a twin sibling who commited suicide (ofcourse I lied, I don't have a twin sibling) and that's the reason why I dig Dear Evan Hansen. I figured out that if I am starting to give "deep personal story", it will create the atmosphere that "I trust you" and hopefully he sees the "code" and trusts me back.
- Regigigas : I am a CS student who dig Poker. Regigigas is an IT guy who is creating an AI on poker. Perfect match. Currently, I'm just waiting for the time zone to continue our discussion.
- Lugia : I am having a problem with Lugia. He's too focused on the Pokemon talk. I'm trying to get him to talk about himself.
- Mesprit: Mesprit is a game bot, lol. He keep asking "my game strategy" but I don't have and it's harder to bullshit one so I am pushing him to talk about himself. He is reluctant, worried that he will breach the anonymity rule, so I push harder by starting an example (ie. "My hobby is playing Poker. What about you?")
- Victini: I'm trying to steer the topic from Pokemon because I have no clue about it. I will start by talking about myself then slow but sure, start interviewing about him.
Mewtwo and Uxie haven't replied.

Okay look, you're in a Pokemon game. People are going to want to talk about Pokemon and it's an active detriment if you try not to talk about Pokemon because it's an easy topic. If you don't know anything about Pokemon go learn about it. bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/Main_Page this is a good place to start! Or watch some videos about people playing Pokemons. I like the speedruns myself.

I'm surprised you're not getting along with the Mespirit though since gamebot is what you said you are in a nutshell. I know what I would say to a guy like that, haha. I've had alliances in the past with super gamebots like Jarvin from League of Legends, he didn't want to talk anything but simple instructions and make alliances, so that's what I did with him and it worked out. I think playing to what the person you're talking to needs is important. Why don't you try putting yourself in his shoes a little? If you were asking someone about their game strategy, what kind of answer would you want from them?

Oh yeah, it's worth reminding you that you're on the newbie tribe so people like Mespirit probably don't know their own game strategy either and are just trying to figure out how to play. You might be one of the most experienced people on this tribe, lol.

To be honest, one of the reasons I tried to not talk about Pokemon is because of my fake persona. I have introduced myself as a Brunei boy who is depressed after having to spend 2 years in the Sixth Form only to fuck up their CS 31 A Levels Examination and I figured out the narrative that I want to play is "I am doing Survivor because I want to escape from my stress" and when people asked me about Pokemon, it just seems logical that the correct conclusion is "I have no idea about Pokemon. I had no free time until now except for some poker and musical stuff, so I lost my pop culture touch."
Fortunately, I haven't quite reached the gay part yet. It's not necessary for now, but I have dropped some foreshadowing.
I got lucky with this cast tbh. I think that I took some risk by establishing that my background is Computer Science because I assume most people in MS has no background in Computer Science. It turns out 3 people besides me have background on Computer Science as well so lucky me!.

Well, your trainers are part of the game so I'm pretty sure you can tell them your trainer Sabrina insisted you learn a little about Pokemon to better fit in, you don't have to lie about knowing about it before. That would fit your persona as well. I think Pokemon is fun and helps with stress too. Make any excuse you want tbh but cutting Pokemon, the theme of the game, for the sake of your fake persona would just, in my opinion be a bad idea.
You already dropped a picture of a guy you wanted to eat up lol, how much clearer were you going to make it? :V Hot guy pictures are a pretty oldschool conversation mechanism now, the older players will probably exchange with you if you make it to them XD
