So... welcome to probably crazy talk with Meltan
This was the best swap I could possibly have gotten - Mystic majority, more importantly with Mystics I like, at the right time to save me from the rest of the Mystics it would be the easiest thing imaginable to just go along with the Mystics if we ever go to TC and take out one of Tapu/Regi but... where does that leave me in the long run?
I was clearly on the bottom with Mystic Deo was on my side, but Arti was against me on the first vote and only turned it on Sol in the second one because Sol was after him it's possible that Arti was leaning my way and just didn't want to rock the boat to show it, but I know he was close with Hoopa and Celebi so there's no doubt in my mind that his next vote would have been for me ideally we don't go to tribal at all on this tribe, but if we do, I think it probably benefits my game more to flip to Valor and try to snipe Arti - hopefully keep Deo onside and then come into the merge with an inroad into Valor, ready to help them pick off the old Mystics
Mayyybe it's too much of an expectation to think that Valor would unite at the merge? it's very possible that the Mystic players on the other tribes are good enough to split them up, indoctrinate them, and pitch them all against each other come the merge but I think if that happens I'm dead anyway Regi and Tapu both seem like solid players already and they both seem like people I'd want to work with, so Arti going might be the best thing for me even if the longterm gameplan doesn't work out

Welcome to the wonderful world of Meltan
where you share idol clues exclusively with an old Mystic member while talking to old Valors about flipping to their side the weirdest thing is I'm being fully honest with both of them, I'm mainly giving Deo the idol clues so he's more likely to join me when I flip to Valor
all this is 100% reliant on us going to 1 or 0 TCs in this tribe but I think that's possible

Holy hell
Regigigas is the person I've been looking for since I started playing LSGs struggles a bit with the social game (like me) looks for straightforwardness in a potential alliance (like me) happy to talk in-depth about strategy with someone they met yesterday provided that person is being straightforward (same here) considers the players who can make friends with everyone the big threats and wants to make a plan to take them all out (like I do)
this is all I ever wanted in an ally can I keep him forever if he stays like this I'd 100% take him to final 2 if we can get there regardless of whether he'd beat me or not

Hi there! I have a few questions for you to help spur some conversation, I hope you answer them!
1) Congratulations on your win Team Mystic! You’ve proven your dominance. How does this speak to tribe unity? What factors does this win play into your game?
2) Now that you’ve swapped, take this time to briefly reflect on your time so far in this game. What have you learned that will help you going forward?
3) How do you like your new tribesmates? Is the division of old Valor and Mystic on your mind? Or are the old tribes gone and a new day dawning?
4) If you were to go to tribal tonight, who would have went? Why?
Enjoy your night off!

1) Congratulations on your win Team Mystic! You’ve proven your dominance. How does this speak to tribe unity? What factors does this win play into your game?
On the surface, we're united and aiming towards a single objective - challenge dominance and never going to tribal. I know that's something most people would say they're dedicated to, but with this group I actually think it's a strong possibility, and it's a possibility which would probably benefit all of our games massively. Votewise, it's a very interesting situation - but that deserves a post of its own.
2) Now that you’ve swapped, take this time to briefly reflect on your time so far in this game. What have you learned that will help you going forward?
The main thing I took from the first tribe was how dangerous the social threats were. It's usually not as big of a deal in the earlygame because regardless of how bad I am there are usually a couple of people who'll get picked off before I become the main target, but here I was the biggest target from the end of the Jirachi vote until the swap - not because most people didn't like me, but because most people adored the few people who really didn't like me. If the game is run by players like that - which could well happen, given that they're all on tribes full of newbies who will probably be quite susceptible to their advances - then the players who are worse at the social game but are decent strategically and good in the challenges will be the first to go, and I'm very solidly in that category.
My objective has to be steering the game to a position where there's some sort of mentality blocking that from happening, and the best way to do that is a tribal mentality. If the narrative can be set that Valor needs to be the Davids taking out the Goliaths of this game, and we can make Valor unite behind that, suddenly being that good at making friends doesn't matter anymore - that sort of play only takes complete control with the game in a state of flux. It'll leave me in a weird position in the long run, since I could easily be the next target after the Valors are gone, but if I can work my way into their inner circle, there's a good possibility I could go all the way with them - especially if they think I won't get many votes because all of Team Mystic will hate me. 3) How do you like your new tribesmates? Is the division of old Valor and Mystic on your mind? Or are the old tribes gone and a new day dawning?
It's weird to say, but looking at this now I'd have preferred Hoopa or Celebi or Poipole to be here instead of Arti, possibly two of them instead of Arti/Deo. It would have been far more tense than this tribe is now, but I'd have someone I legitimately want out of this game as soon as possible with me, and that would mean I wouldn't have an awkward decision to make if we do end up at tribal.
However, if this tribe can go on an immunity run, I'd say it's the best one I could possibly have gotten, simply because there's nobody I dislike here. I'm not Arti's biggest fan, but that doesn't mean I dislike them, Deo is my #1 from old Mystic, and I think I'm getting along well with both of the Valors. I think there's some potential to ride this out as a 5 if we hit the merge as a 5.
4) If you were to go to tribal tonight, who would have went? Why?
This absolutely needs its own post, I'll get back to it later.

it went from up here
to down here
Poi was my friend right out of the gate they said they loved my art they made that 3-person alliance with Jirachi and me to help me feel safe
and they gave me flowers
nobody else gave me flowers
but they didn't help Jirachi
and when I was in trouble and all they had to do was vote Sol they had a breakdown over voting out someone they only saw the good side of
I was the alternative they fought for the right to vote me out because they saw the good in Sol so... do they not see good in me?

1) Congratulations on your second win! You’re on a roll. Has this extra time to bond with your tribe helped shape your relationships? Or are you just itching to get to tribal?
2) Please rank your tribesmates in order of how much you want to work with them to least.
3) Is there anyone on the other tribes you are concerned about? Why or why not?
4) What is your plan to make it to the merge? And is it too early to be thinking of jury management?

I'm still here! Sorry I've been off the radar
1) Congratulations on your second win! You’re on a roll. Has this extra time to bond with your tribe helped shape your relationships? Or are you just itching to get to tribal?
It's weird. I'd have loved to go to one tribal so as to get rid of Arti, because I don't trust that Arti won't just run straight back to the Mystic threats when we merge. I believe that Coba and Arti were very close, and having someone who needs to be in our numbers be that close to someone with an idol is extremely worrying. Not going to tribal has also meant that everyone's taken a very laid-back attitude to PMing, which in a way is nice, because it means my general slow PMing doesn't stand out too much, but in another way it means that we don't have the same bonds that the other tribes probably do.
That said, there are two huge advantages to not having been - numbers, and lack of signalling. Going into the merge with a solid 5 would be amazing if the 5 is solid (Arti...), and not having to show my hand this early by taking out a Mystic means things might be easier to do under the radar once we hit the merge.
That said... I'm under no impression that the merge is going to be quiet. I'm fully anticipating a brutal battle with myself more than likely in danger, and I'm planning to do things that will put me in more danger still. The whole under the radar gameplay style is out of the window at this point, and any advantage gained by keeping my intentions out of the spotlight for now will be very short-lived once the merge hits.
2) Please rank your tribesmates in order of how much you want to work with them to least.
1 - Regi. I'm still not entirely convinced that he's real. This guy thinks about the game like I do, to the extent that it leaves me wondering whether his Trainer is tutoring him to act like that specifically towards me - but if he's good enough to do that and act this genuine, then he probably deserves the win regardless. What amazes me most about it is that not once - not once - in the time that I've been playing Survivor have I ever met someone who plays like I do in the premerge; not just viewing the social threats as potential threats, but actively trying to usurp them and turn the meta on its head for once. And he was thinking like this before he met me! He views Tapu the same way I view Hoopa, Celebi, and Poi - the friendship of people who make friends with literally everyone is absolutely meaningless - and while that's a bit of a pain because I need Tapu right now, so I need to make sure he doesn't make a move too early, it's fantastic in the long term because it means he's with me on all of this, from start to finish.
2 - Deo. The decision to flip the vote onto Sol from Deo, despite the fact that it didn't work, may well end up being the single best move I make in this game. Actions speak far louder than words, especially when you're not great with small talk (like me!), so to have made a move that made him trust me as much as I think he does is a route to an alliance that I would probably be incapable of making otherwise. He's completely open about his thoughts on the game, and he seems to be 100% on board with going against old Mystic here and shaking up the game come the merge - that's going to be incredibly important if this game comes to what I think it's going to come to.
3 - Tapu. Quiet, but good at making friends - Tapu's like a less threatening version of the Social Threats I keep going on about. The nice thing is, I think (read, hope) I can trust her because the way I want to take this game will benefit her enormously - keeping everyone she's made friends with around, and getting rid of the people she's never had a chance to meet, and since she is the person every Valor is friends with, she's got to feel like she'll be in the power position in that situation. Tapu is critical for us taking control at the merge; she's the one with the most sway over the Valors, so I think that the numbers will likely come from her.
4 - Arti. I think I've made my thoughts on Arti pretty clear in the last answer - Deo seems to think of Arti as our #3 because of the Sol vote, I see Arti as Coba's #2 and that Sol vote only happened to keep Arti safe, it was nothing to do with helping me out. More than anything I'd like Arti gone before we have to rely on them, because I think if we have to rely on Arti, we're relying on Coba, and if we're relying on Coba, we're back to 'let's keep the tribe strong and not make any moves'.
3) Is there anyone on the other tribes you are concerned about? Why or why not?
Too many people. Hoopa, Celebi, Poipole - I think none of these three will be on my side come the merge. Coba has his idol, and thinks I'm the only other person who could know about it, so might try to get rid of me to keep his secret safe. Volcanion probably flipped on his tribe, and that means he could well be in Hoopa's back pocket. There are so many people I don't trust, and don't want to have to trust, that my gameplan is to try to get into a position where I can cut them one by one by one until there's nobody left who has ever opposed me or who will ever oppose me.
4) What is your plan to make it to the merge? And is it too early to be thinking of jury management?
I don't care about Jury management. If I get into power, I'm going to be the person taking the blame for every single one of those moves if I can be, because that makes it far more likely that people will take me to the end in the hope that they'll beat me. I believe that in a group of Survivor enthusiasts, being in control throughout will win out over bitterness.
I don't even think I need a plan to make the merge right now - all my planning has been about what happens after. We're a strong tribe at challenges, and even if we do head to tribal, I'm in the driver's seat because I've got the three with Arti and Deo to take out Tapu, or the three with Regi and Tapu to take out Arti. I'd 100% go with the latter and try to convince Deo it's the right idea, but even if something happens I think I'm safe because of the backup. This tribeswap could not have been better for me.
...and now I think phasing's happened so I need to stop writing and go check on that.

Okay, no merge yet. Interesting. I'm hoping we either have a returnee twist or a late-start Jury, because these tribes can't stay past 12 people left, and a 12 person merge would only happen under one of those two circumstances. Another swap could throw a problematic spanner in the works.
Anyway - I spoke a lot about merge planning and whatnot there. I should probably cover that in more detail.
I don't trust Hoopa, Celebi, or Poipole. Simple as that. All three of them have wanted me out at some point or another - not just going with the flow, but either instigating or pushing the vote in some way - and I have no guarantee that won't just continue at the merge. I'm fairly certain I'm somewhat to blame here because of my poor social skills, but those are a fact of my gameplay and despite attempts to fix them, they're not going to get better. I need to play in a way that will succeed despite those, and if there are people who will side against me because of them, those people are no friends of mine.
My #1 objective come the merge is to form a majority alliance around myself that will a) keep me safe and b) allow me to pick off these players. Old Valor is the obvious option for this - since everyone I want to take out is an old Mystic, if they want to go forward as a group this helps them massively, not to mention I'd want to kill off the favourites if I was the fans in an FvF season simply to get rid of the threat.
I don't think there will be a way to do this subtly - I'll try, but I fully anticipate I'll get outed somewhere along the line and it will come down to numbers at the very first vote. I think with the players I have here, that I can get those numbers come the merge and take control - and I think I'm close enough to Regi and Deo that we can take control of that alliance before the point where I'd be taken out as the most threatening favourite left.
That's essentially the entirety of my gameplan right now, and it has been since before the swap, even. I talk like getting rid of the favourites is all strategy, but I won't deny revenge is also a key motivation - flipping to the Fans and taking these players out one by one by one has been in the back of my mind since Jirachi went, and it feels very close now to becoming a reality.

Oh, hm. Double elimination. I hadn't initially noticed that.
That makes it very clear that this is the last premerge tribal, I think. It's a solid way to do 4 eliminations on 5 person tribes while guaranteeing no 2 person tribal possibility, but there's no way to guarantee that afterwards, so it has to be swap or merge, and 11 seems way too late for a swap.
Also probably rules out a returnee twist which is a bit of a relief. I've seen Solgaleo log on so often and never read my confessional, it was starting to make me panic.

but er, turns out I maybe didn't even need to be Coba, Coba, Coba... why are you being such a moron I was trying to get the vote onto Hoopa before you decided to try to throw Volcanion under the bus and if you're going to try to throw someone under the bus like that... at least have the story behind it be true? did you really think I wouldn't check in with Deo?

In case other people haven't filled y'all in already
Coba came to me (and pretty much everyone else in the tribe) saying that Volc had said something extremely offensive to Deo that would get him immediately voted out if it was shared this was in response to me telling him I wanted Hoopa out
obviously I checked in with Deo about this, apparently the phrase was: "At this point, it's obvious that this is conversation is the most retarded attempt of two players trying to connect with each other. I think it's safe to say that my trainer will label this as miserable failure, but at least we tried." which... yeah, isn't great, but from what Coba was saying I thought he'd launched an offensive tirade or something maybe Coba just considers that term significantly more offensive than I do, but apparently he did something similar to this on the Lugia vote, and I know he's not averse to twisting the truth due to the whole idol thing, so I'm fairly certain this was deliberately exaggerated Deo's also been pretty clear that although he found it weird, he wasn't particularly offended by it

time for a Meltan update!
there are currently two targets out there - Volcanion and Cobalion currently, I think it's me, Deo, Tapu, Regi, Volc voting Coba, and Celebi, Hoopa, Poi, Coba voting Volc, with Uxie and Mesprit in the middle I've had an assurance from Uxie that they'll vote Coba - I'm always paranoid so there's doubt in my mind, but hopefully this should come out in our favour, and there's some chance Mesprit is voting with us too (although they went to bed before I got a chance to confirm with them)
Volc is an interesting person, because it highlights the massive flaw that most MS players have in their approach to the game he's terrible at the social game, and as a result pretty much everyone thought of him as an easy vote
JUST BECAUSE SOMEONE IS BAD AT THE SOCIAL GAME DOESN'T MEAN YOU HAVE TO VOTE THEM OUT #BREAKTHEMETA
I just skipped straight to the game side of things with him and I think I trust him to vote with me more than anyone except Deo and Regi now just because of how everyone else alienated him he's now a key part of my plan, since I know that Tapu intends to vote me and Deo out after the rest of Old Mystic has been pagonged:
TC7: vote out Coba w/ as many of old valor as possible TC8: vote out Celebi w/ Mystic 2.0 + Volc & Uxie TC9: vote out Hoopa w/ Mystic 2.0 + Volc TC10: vote out Poipole w/ Mystic 2.0 + Volc TC11: vote out Mesprit w/ Deo, Regi, Volc TC12: vote out Uxie w/ Deo, Regi, Volc TC13: vote out Tapu w/ Deo, Regi, Volc TC14: hopefully vote out Volc and go to F3 with Deo and Regi TC15: please mods don't make this one happen
TC14 plan is probably bad, but it's what I want to do from an idealistic point of view I'm happy to fight a bit harder at tribal in order to make sure that the people who got there are the ones who deserve to be at the end
