So...this has been fun. TC started off with literally nothing happening for the first like 16h until about 4-5pm ET. Until then no one had really been saying anything and things were shockingly slow - especially considering the first tribal. Then I guess Articuno and Meltan compared notes, and Solgaleo had been telling each of them 'So far it looks like it might be you, I'd push X if I were you as that's the other name I'm hearing' and so they started a push against Sol. Sol obviously denies both the extent and the intention of what he said, saying it was more just telling each of them the two names he had heard included theirs. No one else really seemed sure who to believe, but for me it struck a cord as that was almost word-for-word what Sol had told me last TC to try and get me to push Jirachi, so I tried to sway it slightly towards Sol going out. I genuinely don't have a sense for how much Sol actually wants to work with me vs just buddying up to everyone, but I suspect the latter - while I do think Meltan probably wants to work with me.
Seems like Celebi and Coba had the same inclination I did (I may have swayed Celebi a bit; I don't know), and now it seems like Sol is probably going out unanimously if nothing changes and everything I am hearing is accurate.

Swap seems to have been quite favourable to me so far, so I am very happy about that. I ended up on the only tribe with a 3-2 Mystic lead which is obviously great, and with the two people I worked most closely with on the last two votes. These aren't the people I foresaw being the alphas that I am hoping want to take me deep into the game (which right now would probably be Hoopa/Celebi) but they are definitely two people that I think are happy to work with me, and Meltan in particular is probably a good person to keep close given how apt he has been to flip the script in both votes so far.

Hi there! I have a few questions for you to help spur some conversation, I hope you answer them!
1) Congratulations on your win Team Mystic! You’ve proven your dominance. How does this speak to tribe unity? What factors does this win play into your game?
2) Now that you’ve swapped, take this time to briefly reflect on your time so far in this game. What have you learned that will help you going forward?
3) How do you like your new tribesmates? Is the division of old Valor and Mystic on your mind? Or are the old tribes gone and a new day dawning?
4) If you were to go to tribal tonight, who would have went? Why?
Enjoy your night off!

1) Congratulations on your win Team Mystic! You’ve proven your dominance. How does this speak to tribe unity? What factors does this win play into your game? I don't think it speaks to tribe unity at all, as it was largely a solo challenge. I think the fact that I have performed very well in challenges so far (found Tangela Challenge 1, won very convincingly Challenge 2, was a key contributor Challenge 3, tied Meltan for most items with 23 in Challenge 4) has helped me show my worth to both the original and swapped tribes, and I think I have been able to do it using skills that are unlikely to be obviously relevant in Individual Challenges, so I am hopeful I haven't raised my threat level.
2) Now that you’ve swapped, take this time to briefly reflect on your time so far in this game. What have you learned that will help you going forward? I think my time in this game has been very good since the first couple hours of the first TC. I was one of the early targets of the first TC as I have spoken about in here before, but I think my strategy to work passively to get the target off my back paid off very well; I didn't have to make any moves that would piss people off or increase my threat level in the game while at the same time having multiple strong alpha players seemingly want to work to save me - both of those are basically the ideal situation I want in the game right now. I am hopeful that Hoopa, Celebi, and Meltan are all strong players who want to lead and make moves *and* who view me as a fairly loyal ally that they can use to help themselves progress in the game. That is a role I feel very comfortable playing in, and think I have managed (despite what my plan was coming into the game, being a first-boot target led me to my comfort zone) to downplay my experience and seem like a player who has not had much success in this game despite being on the Favourites tribe.
3) How do you like your new tribesmates? Is the division of old Valor and Mystic on your mind? Or are the old tribes gone and a new day dawning? I think this tribe breakdown is basically perfect in the short-term, and good but not ideal longterm. Short-term I think this is ideal since Arti/Meltan are a pair who both have shown they actively want to work with me and trust me; Meltan in particular started a Sol wagon in order to save me and Jirachi in the first tribal, and came to me as one of the first people to pitch for the Sol wagon in the second tribal. Obviously having a 3-2 split despite being down 7-8 is also pretty great. The downside is that the players I most expect to more-or-less run the game based on my experience in the original Mystic tribe are Celebi and Hoopa, since I think Meltan might be playing a little too hard and become an early merge boot, and so swapping with one or both of Celebi/Hoopa would have made it even more likely that they decide to pick me up as their 'extra number' given I would have been with them the whole game.
4) If you were to go to tribal tonight, who would have went? Why? Whomever Meltan/Arti wanted gone of the two Valors. I don't have a strong preference, and in particular am very inclined to go along with whatever Meltan wants in this tribe given he has been the most apt to try and flip the game so far in the two tribals I have been in. We didn't talk about it, so I don't know who it would have been.

I'm really not sure what the dynamic is between some of these newbies/jurors, but I just had to explain to Regigigas that it's unlikely that the game would merge at 9.

1) Congratulations on your second win! You’re on a roll. Has this extra time to bond with your tribe helped shape your relationships? Or are you just itching to get to tribal?
2) Please rank your tribesmates in order of how much you want to work with them to least.
3) Is there anyone on the other tribes you are concerned about? Why or why not?
4) What is your plan to make it to the merge? And is it too early to be thinking of jury management?

1) Congratulations on your second win! You’re on a roll. Has this extra time to bond with your tribe helped shape your relationships? Or are you just itching to get to tribal? Helped shaped relationships for sure. I would prefer not to go to tribal with this iteration given that I think Tapu and Regi will both be willing to hopefully work with us post-merge, but I'm not overly worried if we do go.
2) Please rank your tribesmates in order of how much you want to work with them to least. Meltan / Arti / Reggie / Tapu
3) Is there anyone on the other tribes you are concerned about? Why or why not? Not particularly. My guess right now is that the two power groups in the game will be Meltan on one side and Hoopa/Celebi on the other, and I think that right now I am in good with both and optimistically think both sides view me as a loyal number.
4) What is your plan to make it to the merge? And is it too early to be thinking of jury management? I don't see a scenario right now where I don't make it to the merge unless it's a late merge and I get catastrophically swapfucked. It's never too early to be thinking of jury management, since every action you take in the game has to be with the goal of winning that jury vote. I obviously will need to take more care than some with jury management since my plan is to be viewed as a non-threat for as long as possible and that can lead to scenarios where I don't get any credit if I make it to the end, but I think I have learned from my previous experience and will be more equipped to have a game people are willing to vote for - especially given that last time my game was relatively poor from the perspective of giving myself winning equity when it mattered, but I had a phenomenal FTC that came stunningly close to somehow swindling the win.

Well fuck. Obviously I was trying to submit a shitty score (as based on the original tangram submission) but I definitely didn't want to submit a 0. I didn't actually want to either obviously throw or even necessarily go to tribal council, just wanted to try and lower my challenge threat level entering (presumably) the merge given that going to tribal isn't the end of the world for me I don't think in this tribe.
But of course now I might be fucked given imgur took too long to upload. Super fucking salty. Not sure what I'm supposed to do when imgur fails the first time and I have to reupload and wait for it to load.

Super fucking dumb. Mod errors cause me to waste half an hour on a challenge that doesn't work, I then am given a link to a challenge that doesn't work/load, and then when I'm given a second link (the third challenge I've had to do/start/attempt/etc tonight) my score is DQ'd for being 2 minutes late when imgur fucks up and doesn't load the first time?
What a garbage 'challenge' and a waste of my evening. If we go to tribal, I'm probably just going to ask my tribe to vote me out.

And of course because of the rules I can't even give my tribe a reason for why I'm logging off for the night without responding to anything because I want nothing to do with this forum tonight.

Okay - so now that I've taken a day to (sort of) calm down, let's figure out how to turn this into some lemonade. We still have a game to play, so here we go.
Step one, play up the guilt and remorse. Offer to throw myself on the sword - I don't think Meltan and Arti will want that here so I shouldn't be in too much danger, and frankly if they use that to vote me out here almost certainly about to enter a merge then my relationship with them isn't nearly as good as I thought and I'm probably drawing close to dead on win equity anyways. Assuming I stay, hopefully the guilt and willingness to take the fall for it gets people to feel sorry for me and/or like me more, and may also serve to downplay my threat if it seems like I'm willing to go over this.
Which ties into step two, blame this entirely on the fact that I have little to no experience with playing flash games in general and no experience doing challenges like that and didn't realize I should allow myself a few minutes buffer in case things don't go perfectly in terms of reporting my results. I've already planted little Russell Seeds(tm) that I'm an inexperienced Favourite so may as well use this to double-down and further try and reduce my IC threat level. I've performed well in challenges so far and wanted to downplay that last night; obviously not by getting a zero but we can at least try and still get value out of that given that this is the first challenge that is closer to what Individual challenges are likely to be so if people think I'm shitty at flash games and not used to this type of challenge, that also might help me a bit moving forward.
Overall I don't think I can pretend that this is a good thing for my game as I do think it hurts my game quite a bit, but hopefully we can spin it a little and try and squeeze out at least some lemonade here.

Depends on how you define "best ally". The person who probably trusts me most is Meltan, the person that I feel like I have the most mutual trust with is probably Celebi, and the person I expect to be the one I use to get myself to the endgame is probably Hoopa.
I genuinely don't think I have an enemy right now. I might be totally wrong, but I don't think there's a single person who would have me in their top3 people they want out.

Man, these Valors are adorable. Hopefully the Mystic crew doesn't completely implode, because so many of these Valor players are clearly in for a wake-up call now that they're playing in the majors.
Exhibit 1, this start to the PM from Volc I got yesterday: "At this point, it's obvious that this is conversation is the most retarded attempt of two players trying to connect with each other. I think it's safe to say that my trainer will label this as miserable failure, but at least we tried."
Exhibit 2, Regi thinking that he's the Rob C to my Butch, despite the fact I've been working with Meltan since D1: "Basically just do whatever meltan tells you to do today." And a bonus Exhibit 2a, Regi thinking that this will be smooth sailing: "On lunch break rn so I hope things get resolved around this time."

Okay, so Meltan comes into the merge thinking he has me as an ally, has recruited Regi/Tapu, and will get 1-2 more Valors then run the table. He tells me that Coba is his target, as someone who might have an idol (which I know he does) and will side with Hoopa over Meltan (which I probably will as well). Now, Coba is someone I think I have a good relationship with and don't want to see go. I also have a pretty good relationship with everyone but Volc, who for whatever reason just sounds super forced and stand-offish when he talks to me (see: Exhibit 1), and so Volc is someone I wouldn't mind seeing go, but as I have talked about previously my gameplan is to avoid being in the spotlight and not to appear threatening at all. So I start off by messaging Celebi and Hoopa (the two people who seemed to want to 'mentor' me in Mystic) to tell them what Volc sent me and ask what they thought, and they both of course said it was ridiculous. Then I let Coba know about it, and since he was freaking out a bit about being on the block, did exactly what I expected and started telling multiple people that 'Volc said some really offensive stuff to Deo that has no place in a MS game, we should get rid of him'.
So right now, I think I managed to both get rid of the one person in the game I don't feel I have any real ability to work with, hopefully not be viewed as having put together that wagon at all, and if possible also have Coba looking like he used an excuse to build a counter-wagon. Assuming this works out, very successful first vote for me.

Holy shit what a day.
As it stands, the information I have is that the votes for Coba will be {Meltan, Regi, Tapu, Volc, Uxie, Mesprit} with the votes for Volc being {Hoopa, Celebi, Deoxys, Coba, Poi}. Coba plans on playing his idol and we should be able to send Volc home if all goes according to plan.
