Copy/paste of a discord chat I had with a mod since it's a good mark of where my head is at.
Deoxys ugh this part sucks lol like I really dont want Regi to win and would feel like shit if he beats me and wins this game. But I also won't ever forgive myself if my reads are right and I make the same damn mistake as School
Production you can do it!
Deoxys I feel like I am sooooo close.
Production do you have any regrets?
Deoxys Zero to this point. I feel like I've played very very strongly. I just all of a sudden am doubting my read of Regi as a Hantz/Specialist goat. I feel like up to this point, this is absolutely the evolution of the School game I wanted to play.

THIS IS IT. THE FINAL SET OF GIRATINA QUESTIONS. ITS BEEN QUITE A RIDE. CONGRATS AT MAKING THE FINAL FOUR. AND A SPECIAL CONGRATS TO YOU DEOXYS FOR A GUARANTEED FTC. LET'S BEGIN. 1. TAPU LELE, REGIGIGAS, AND CELEBI. TWO OF THESE THREE PEOPLE ARE GOING TO GET A CHANCE TO DUKE IT OUT WITH YOU AT FTC. AS THE IMMUNE, YOUR VOTE THIS ROUND WILL LIKELY DETERMINE WHO IS SITTING NEXT TO YOU. PLEASE WEIGH THE PROS AND CONS OF THE THREE REMAINING THAT YOU ARE USING TO HELP YOU DETERMINE WHICH YOU WILL BE CASTING YOUR VOTE FOR. DON'T HOLD BACK, YOU AIN'T GETTING MORE QUESTIONS AFTER THIS 2. THE JURY. 7, SOON TO BE 8, INDIVIDUALS WHO WILL DECIDE THE FATE OF THE WINNER OF SURVIVOR LEGENDARY. HAVE YOU BEGUN TO FORM OPINIONS OF WHO YOU THINK EACH INDIVIDUAL ONE WILL VOTE FOR? PLEASE LIST THEM IF YOU HAVE THOUGHTS. DO THESE THOUGHTS WEIGH ON YOUR FINAL VOTE DECISION? 3. WHAT IS YOUR PLAN GOING INTO FTC? DO YOU HAVE AN IDEA OF WHAT YOU THINK YOU WILL BE PRESENTING AS YOUR CASE TO WIN? WHAT VALUES DO YOU FEEL ARE THE MOST IMPORTANT IN A WINNER? DO YOU THINK THIS JURY WILL SHARE THOSE FEELINGS OR DIFFER? 4. IF YOU HAD THE OPTION TO PICK A FINALIST, ASIDE FROM THE OTHER THREE IN GAME, WHO WOULD IT BE AND WHY? DID THEIR NOT BEING HERE AFFECT YOUR GAME AND HOW YOU PLAYED? DO YOU DRAW INSPIRATION FROM THIS PERSON OR DO YOU FEEL YOU HAVE ONLY DRAWN INSPIRATION FROM YOURSELF THIS GAME? 5. WHAT DO YOU WANT TO BE THE THING PEOPLE REMEMBER ABOUT YOU FROM THIS GAME? THANKS FOR ALL THE MEMORIES AND I WISH YOU THE BEST OF LUCK. GO GET EM DEO!!!! *LOUD BELLOWS FROM THE PITS OF POKE HELL AND BEYOND. BELLOW IS SO LOUD THAT TINY BACTERIA AT THE TOP OF EVEREST COWER IN FEAR. TIME ITSELF IS AFRAID OF THE HEARTY BELLOW THAT GIRATINA BESTOWS ON YOU. IT IS A BELLOW OF LUCK AND COMPLETELY IN FRENCH*

Good god. Nothing is more challenging than trying to work with either of these two people.
Regi has decided to 'start to zone out now that we're at the end' to focus on other things. Tapu is, 12 mins before the last goddamn vote deadline of the game, still doing her usual 'Guess we will see what happens' bullshit.

Last time I went into FTC getting 0-1 votes and left as the runner-up in a 4-4-2 split so this is definitely the part of the game I felt most comfortable about being able to excel at coming into the game. Now that I'm here and I think I played a very very strong game...I guess we're about to find out.
I genuinely feel like I absolutely deserve to win this game. I played both sides against one another very well, had strong one-on-one connections with basically everyone on jury except Volc (lol) and Mes (who had obvious RL issues affecting her ability to play), had a working relationship with everyone but Volc (who I made sure went out first), and won challenges during the two votes in the game where I was in real tangible danger (f6 with Hoopa's idol and then F4).
My plan for the FTC is to primarily focus on the Mystics as that's 5/8 and I had very strong relationships with all five of them. Especially when I play up the fact that I learned so much from each of those five people that led to me becoming the player that can be here at the end, I think I'm in a good spot here.
Regi thinks he and I played the same game, but he's wrong. I'm the one who had options, who had real relationships with both sides, who decided who went home and which way the game would go. The perfect example that of that is the merge, when I can point out that I not only knew about Coba's idol but helped him find it way back on Mystic and steered the Valor votes onto him at the merge to ensure the Mystics would win the day. That Regi's 'big move' in the game was flipping on Uxie which was pointless since I wasn't with them and had voted Uxie.
I made myself look like an inexperienced player and loyal ally on Mystic so people would want to pick me up, and multiple people did. Then I got swapped with Meltan and made myself all the more subservient to him as I knew he was a loose cannon, and so he voted out Articuno instead of me because he was afraid Articuno would play both sides at the merge, then got Meltan to have full faith in me and view me as his accomplice. I got Regi and Tapu to view me as a goat they could 'drag' to the end and beat. I developed a very strong emotional bond with Poipole and pledged loyalty to her, and was lucky enough to have her idoled out where I have zero blood on my hands. And then just for the hell of it today, I decided to tell Regi right as Tapu went to bed that she had told me she was voting him (despite that not being true at all at the time) to try and unnerve him and set him spinning, which got to the point where when he was freaking out about the tie he both snapped at me and lashed out (showing his true colours) and then made the case in front of the jury that his out to be able to win the game was taking me out at four since I had played a better version of his game. And then at the end, I got Tapu to have to recant her vote and backtrack to voting out Celebi.
I outwitted. I outlasted. I outplayed. Now I just need to bring home this goddamn game.

I'm gonna copy everyone else here. Congratulations on making it to the final tribal council. Win or lose, this is an achievement you should take pride in! Good luck in the FTC!

With all due respect, I don't agree. I won't leave this game satisfied with the way I played if I lose here again. I've made it to FTC and lost before, and it fucking sucks. I signed up to win, played hard to win, and won't be proud of a loss.

Opening speech tidbit here - I am consciously referring to the Meltan/Regi/Tapu alliance as 'Meltan's group' almost every time I talk about them in an attempt to further undermine Regi/Tapu and pass as much of the credit for that alliance to Meltan as possible.

Five weeks of my life has been spent on this game. Five weeks of checking and responding to PMs every morning, afternoon and night. Fives weeks of challenges about every other day. Five weeks of frantic scrambling, of planning, worrying, and scheming. Five weeks of nights spent thinking about this game, or wondering how to best maneuver through something, or trying to figure out how best to approach a given scenario. Fives weeks of pouring everything I have into this game. Fives weeks of desperately trying to play the game I wanted to last time, giving everything it all to try and win. And all that's left now is Three. More. Days.

Lmao. Regi's opening speech actually included the fact he doesn't understand why Poipole was idoled out instead of him. And he thinks I didn't believe Hoopa and Celebi when they told me he was throwing me under the bus? Holy shit my sides.

Depending on how much Coba's line of questioning continues, I may throw a bone to any of you who happened to play in Rick/Morty BB and say something along the lines of 'I wouldn't have imagined lying about past games any more than I would have thought of pretending to have gone through RL issues to gain sympathy; that's just to me outside the scope of a social game.'

Night 1 recap
I think I've had a good but not amazing start here. Certainly Meltan and Coba are both more bitter than I had hoped, but I think I've been able to give good answers to all the questions asked of me tonight. Let's see what tomorrow holds.

Morning Day 2
I think this has gone well for me. I don't think Regi is really saying anything that helps his case and I think I've been able to give strong answers to show where I outplayed him.

Night 2
Eh, I think there's been some more highs and lows today. While I got torn into by Uxie and others (though by Uxie most harshly), I think I was able to come across as genuinely humbled by it which might help me with others if not with Uxie.
Deo - Poipole, Celebi, Hoopa Regi - Meltan, Coba Tapu - Uxie, Mes
Volc is the swing vote here. Especially since I don't have a fucking clue if I have either of their tiebreak votes.

Morning Day 3
Obviously things aren't going as well as I had hoped coming into the FTC. Trying to show more humility and make myself vulnerable here in the hopes that it will counteract some of the opinions of me - not unlike Sophie did in SoPa.

The 'Tell me why the other finalists are good/should win' question is always a tough one since an obviously poor answer looks bad on you but too good of an answer might actually convince people to vote for them. I decided especially since I've taken heat for arrogance and cockiness in this tribal to give a genuine answer to try and come across as more humble in the hopes that if I can shed the robot/cold/cocky label I seem to have gotten, my game will speak for itself.

Night 3
Well, that was certainly a FTC. I think I did okay in the end, though Tapu certainly had the best FTC. Let's see if I can manage to get enough votes to avoid another loss.

Going to keep my closing speech (relatively) short and concise. I want to highlight the one part of my game that I think sets me apart that hasn't been discussed (challenge wins at the crucial F4 and F6 points), then mostly focus on showing more humility and growth. I don't at all know if it's a winning look, but based on the tone from FTC I think it's my best chance to avoid having the majority of the votes swing to Tapu.

Also for any of you who followed School Survivor, I'm having huge flashbacks to F5 of that game. There too I listened to my emotions rather than strategic thinking, and may well have cost myself the game. It's entirely possible I'm in the middle of doing the same thing once again, but I think the difference is that there I was the underdog who needed to assert myself whereas here I'm viewed as being a villain/anti-hero who needs to show some vulnerability. But I'm terrified that I'm making the exact same mistake.

Well - that's a wrap on my closing argument which means I've done all I have to and can do in this game (other than presumably cast a tie-breaker vote).
Thank you very much to all the specs who asked questions, lurked, and otherwise followed the game and my confessionals. I wasn't able to provide as much content in here as I'd have liked due to deadlines and being at work most of the day often, but I hope I was able to give some insight into my thought process and decisions as I went. This was a great game to play, and hopefully also a fun spectating experience for all of you.
Much love,
Deo
