You have been assigned an experienced player, Tate & Liza (Pablito), to answer your questions and put you on the right track in this game. As a reminder of the rules, you don't have to maintain anonymity with each other, but you can't reveal your trainer's ID to any other player in the game (or anyone bar the mods outside of it).
Your trainer doesn't have to confine his/her posting to this thread but this thread may be convenient.

Hi I'm here to help you, and more importantly, I'm here to help you become your best you. While I'm a trainer, my goal is not to make you into another version of me. While I have had success with my style of play, not every player does well with every style. Furthermore, forcing you into a style of play that doesn't feel genuine to you will likely end in failure. You will be on your own later on, and it is important that you have confidence in your own gaming philosophy. Copying my style will be tough because it would force you have to explain a style that isn't necessarily you. Let's figure out together how you want to play and how I can help you with that, especially knowing some of the other personalities out there! As such, I need to know who you are, who you want to be, and what's so great about you! - What type of player do you want spectators and readers to think you are at the end of this game?
- What is the memory you hope that others have of you after a swap situation - ie: what lasting memory do you hope your old tribemates have of you after a swap?
- What are some of your favorite players on a reality show and why?
My plan is to ask you questions to help you reflect and get deeper into the why of what you do. I hope to help you understand you better. As such, I will not direct your strategy - instead I would prefer to help you guide yourself. There is an amazing player already inside of you and I want that to come out and play. You were selected to play, and you know that you're capable, otherwise you wouldn't have signed up for this game. And knowing what I saw in the last game I spectated, I am super excited to work with you, because you have such high potential. My past history is actually only having played once in survivor on-site. However, off-site, I've played numerous games since when survivor aired its first season. I'm more of a big-brother expert as far as voting games go, as I've won several of those at a consistent rate. I've only won survivor twice, and most often make final juror position. I hope to help you cultivate a good style for you. I hope that we can communicate well about your needs and expectations. I can only help guide you as much as you would like. Let me know what our goals should be for together. Since I don't know how long we'll be together, let's take as much advantage as we can. I am best available during evenings, as I rarely check during the day. Please make moves and talk to people at your own pace. I want you to be confident about your game. You have it inside of you and can do it. If you haven't played before, it's important to communicate with others and PM them (within the game's rules). Conversations and relationships are the important building blocks to success. Many players start off the game believing that the game is about playing an astute game by making the right moves and playing the right game at the right time, but I believe that the game is about playing an astute game by playing the right people at the right time, so that they make the right moves that you want. It's not about controlling the game, but by controlling the decision makers. This makes it easier to adapt, because controlling the strong players will help you get what you want, and they will often get targetted early on, in which case, you can push them off the cliff when you're ready and they no longer are useful to you. Let me know what you need from me, as I also don't want to be in a position of explaining and talking more than you need me to. Let's get this bread.

Oh nice, some text. It's even personalized and not copy pasta. Okay, let's go.
What type of player do you want spectators and readers to think you are at the end of this game?
- No matter what role I end up filling in the story, I just want to be remembered as someone fun. I'm thinking Akane but maybe with a little less paranoia leading to bad moves early on that could have been really bad.
What is the memory you hope that others have of you after a swap situation - ie: what lasting memory do you hope your old tribemates have of you after a swap?
- Usually people really liked me for some reason so I hope that people will want to reunite with me.
What are some of your favorite players on a reality show and why?
- chaos kass lol. I got named "Chaos Akane" on KSS. Also, gura from the genius S1. For some reason I like cheering for the bad guy characters. I think what was interesting that the bad guys in some games/shows are bad guys simply because they made too many friends and started having to step on people.
As for goals uhh.... I don't know I uhhh.... gimme a sec I'm pming a few people lol. trying to make good impression on people.
gameplan: make a ton of friends and then play both sides except this time don't get screwed by an idol? lol we will see what happens lemme make some friends real quick

Ahh, you played school survivor. I apologize, I didn't actually spectate that one. You got this though. Your natural charm will shine through. Being someone fun will go very well, as those "favorites" will have no idea how dangerous you are.
I'll let you play the PM game with these kids, first. They'll have no idea who they're dealing with. I'm sure you'll be able to figure out who the one-game vs. zero-game players are.
As for Kass and Gu-Ra. Both were players in the lime-light. Their public image often counted for more power than their one-on-one image. Furthermore, the image of them lasted longer than the very shadow of their presence.
I hope you're making many friends!

yeah was worried about being too social and fun and being a threat in merge when the pros see me and be like "well lol lets snipe the top newbie" but clearly tapu tapu and victini are going to take that spot for me. just chilling and being fun RN, and got some good discussions with some cool guys

One thing I know about MS games is that rarely is there a Pagong situation. There's too much value in cred, that a winner or player who tries to take that pathway will be shamed post-game into regretting that choice. I wouldn't worry too much about "sniping" at "merge". But it's also something to not completely disavow either. In fact, certain "faves" are known for wanting to take cute little puppy newbies under their wing in the game. Cute puppy eyes is an acquired fetish.
Also I'd be surprised if there isn't a swap pre-merge.
Sounds like your goal is to be known and memorable, so being too social or fun fits well into that goal anyway.
How many MS games have you read before? I know you've got everything since KSS, but wondering if there's anything before that?

See the thing is that in KSS, the merge boot, Ibuki was one of my top allies because she burned a few of people in the past, but also the reason it got a majority was because "oh she's also super social too so yeah"
+1 for that cute puppy thing. I saw that in KSS. That's a very real thing to remember. Pagonging I don't anticipate either.
Games have I read... not really any. I guess I kind of looked at LoL because people talked about it a lot but it was hard to read because these things are nonlinear. PM's are cooling down, people are going to bed.

Yeah LoL was a long time ago too. Not all of those players are still on the circuit. It wasn't until merge that things were easy to follow. LoL was iconic though because the characters were huge and Amumu was pure chaos.
At merge, most anything can get traction. It's a lot of posturing and testing out strength of connections in all subgroups. Any reason is a valid reason. Depends on who's playing chicken and who succumbs.
I can give some history on some games if you're looking for some background information. I'm not too up on some of the recent ones though.

idk if I really need any history on games other then for pure interest purposes.
KSS merge was nuts and I loved it. We switched tribes like four times so we had all these groups and subgroups and crazy connection webs, and FREAKING EVERYONE had a secret #1 ally that no one else knew about and so all the majority alliances (that i wasn't in) kept failing because "uh oh my #1 is in their boot order"

Oh true, the cliques, and also the number of switches. Sounds like it mostly benefited you. Were you aware that you were not in the majority alliances at that time?
I think it just goes to show, revealing boot orders can be dangerous.

Nah not really since they all fell apart. I kind of thought I was with the big guys, and for all intents and purposes, yeah I kind of was.

I always like to play as a big guy character. Screw those floaty spirit-y background-y characters!

In thinking of the onion as a metaphor in tribal dynamics and how you want to set yourself up:
What archetypes/traits do you look for in players you want to keep closest to your vest? What archetypes/traits do you look for in players you want to keep close but not too close? What archetypes/traits do you look for in players you want to keep on the outside of your zone of trust? What archetypes/traits do you try to get rid of ASAP in the next tribal council?

Someone I want to keep close? People who are social, and fun. Someone who could survive being swapped away from me and come back. Victini and Uxie.
Keep close but not too close? Dependency or loyalty without social skill to back it up. VolcAnus seems quite dependant on me, so I like having him as a number, but he's not going to make it all the way. Being liked by everyone might count for something (tapu) since she's not going anywhere.
People I want to keep on the outside? People who don't know how to PM? People who can do challenges like buzz but can't PM? idk. Also I've yet to meet someone who starts using left-wing political words and phrases who doesn't eventually try to backstab me. (I have never seen anyone say right wing stuff lmao this is MS), so I've got my eye on mespirit tbh
What do I want to get rid of? Every trait mewtwo has, people who don't hold their own in challenges in addition to not being very social. Lugia.
